For the last 40+ years we have traveled the world to exotic locations in large part to enjoy tropical beaches. We've never considered going to the Florida keys until this trip. We were pleased to find that Florida is much easier to get to than the Sinai peninsula, the philippines, or French Polynesia, for instance. On the other hand, in spite of it's comparative ease of access, key largo as an island is not an exotic location. The location for Baker's Cay is a good beach. We chose this location for a 4-day break from the spring rains of Middle Tennessee in May and enjoyed it for that reason. The weather and water more comfortably warm. If we go back we have decided we would want to go before May because it starts to heat up.

We stayed here for a week for our babymoon and had an absolutely wonderful time! We travel often and have high expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. The resort itself is impeccable, with great design and all the comforts/amenities you could want/need. We were always able to find a beach chair and often had our pick of whether we wanted to be in the action or more secluded/private. The resort is very family-friendly but I never felt like things were out of control or over populated. We did the tiki sunset boat cruise one night and it was a highlight for sure! The location is great and we were able to access neighboring restaurants and locations very easily.

Liked that there was so much to do in the property. With the private beach, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. Saw lots of wildlife too. Pool was very nice and love an adult pool option! Location is great, we had ocean view. Staff was extremely nice. Rooms are clean, big bathroom. Our favorite were the chairs off the path right on the water, so relaxing!

Kellen

Beautiful and quaint hotel with a serene view of the ocean tucked away beneath the trees, located steps away from our balcony. All our meals were exquisite and fresh from the sea. The staff was more than accommodating and easily accessible at any time of day. Daily activities throughout the resort kept our 4-year-old entertained and excited the whole trip.

Meagan

The Coconut building is right in front of the beach, nice and spacious room. The beach is very nice and well kept by Max, the beach bar is run by kind staff and the drinks are good. The breakfast restaurant is at the top floor, kind staff and good quality food, just slightly too expensive. This hotel is the right choice for a couple of days at the beach
